Scientific mercenaries are often paid to find negative results for natural therapy research.

They take a study with conclusive evidence and then keep repeating the experiment until they get a conflicting result.

If you repeat an experiment enough times, you will eventually get some conflicting results.

Especially if the study has been compromised in some way.

Or if the procedure was purposely mishandled.
